<p>It&#8217;s great to get feedback on our apps before we have to spend the time in Xcode to get them working. There are a few great apps out there that help us iterate on ideas and designs through on-device interactive mockups.</p>

<p>Automating the process of building and distributing apps can save time and headache down the road. There are many different tools and services for doing this, making it so you don’t have to open Xcode as much, but there are some caveats to keep in mind as well.</p>

<p>Android development for iOS developers by Kevin Lee</p>

<p>For iOS developers, particularly those who may find themselves working with Android developers at some point, being able to understand Android application design and implementation may be beneficial. This talk aims to get open-minded iOS developers started on the road to understanding Android code by exploring some of the fundamental iOS concepts and Android app implementation patterns from the perspective of an iOS/Cocoa developer.</p>

<p>Jose Ibanez will show an app he worked on that pulls from Instagram&#8217;s popular feed and displays it in a collection view. Many tidbits were learned in the process and he&#8217;ll share amongst others, a few things about AFNetworking, integrating an NSFetchedResultsController with a UICollectionView, and custom UICollectionViewLayouts.</p>

<p>Kotaro Fujita will be doing a presentation comparing web vs native and then open it up for discussion.</p>

<p><strong>Update:</strong> Koraro Fujita will be postponed for a future meeting.</p>

<p>Austin Seraphin will be joining us and has offered to talk a bit about Ruby Motion and iOS Accessibility.</p>

<p>Austin is new to both IndyHall and CocoaHeads. He is a blind developer and I&#8217;m sure will have some great insights on making your iOS apps work well for people through Voice Over and the Accessibility APIs.</p>
